George Kontaxis was born and raised in Athens, Greece. Although his interest in acting started early in his life at the age of 18, doing projects for Greek TV, he decided to spend a few years in London to get his Business Management degree first. While getting his degree he also pursued his passion for photography and became a successful art photographer working in Europe and the US.

It wasnt until the age of 25 that he felt again the calling for acting. He joined an acting class and it immediately became clear to him that this is his real calling and passion in life as he realized how much he loved the art of acting. He decided to fully dedicate himself to his acting career and moved to Los Angeles a few months after to continue his studies and pursue movie and theatrical projects.

After a few small parts is TV, theatre and independent films he got his first leading part in the independent feature film "The song beneath the song" by Jeff McGary. Recently he appeared in the film "The Trophy" starring Michael Madsen and was part of Beyonce Knowles' dance/model team at her performance of the song "If I Were A Boy" for the 2010 Grammy awards.

He was also recently cast in four different plays in Los Angeles theaters ""Sex, Relationships and sometimes...Love", "Single and Fabulous", "Love Lust, or Infatuation" and "Must see TV...Live".
